Seasonal Style // Statement Sleeves

Style; Fashion; Statement Sleeves; Tops; 2017; Spring

Oh the alliteration!

Up until now when I have thought about sleeves all that really crossed my mind were short, cropped or long, this season that has all changed.

Sleeves seem to be playing a big part in the stores right now with more options than I have ever seen and each option adds something extra to what could otherwise be a simple outfit.

I have added a few pieces to my wardrobe already, trying to stick to more versatile styles, simple tops and jumpers with a little bit of edge to make an outfit different, but have an ever growing wish list that I would love to get my hands on.

This jumper is something that I have already purchased and is easily my favourite wardrobe addition so far this year. It is one of those jumpers that is so soft you never want to take it off. Slightly oversized and with a stepped hem it is the perfect knit for a put together look be it casual or slightly more formal depending what you pair it with. The tie sleeves offer something more than your average jumper pulling this trend in perfectly.

ASOS; ASOS White; Blouse; Bell Sleeve

You can't go wrong with a white shirt and everyone should have at least one in their wardrobe, however, this one would be an addition to offering something new. Not only does this feature a bell sleeve but has the added statement of a ruffle trim across both the body and sleeves of the shirt. Being part of the ASOS WHITE collection also means that it is 100% cotton which, I think, warrants the £50 price tag.

Topshop; Hoodie; Embroidered; Bell Sleeve

Topshop's oversized hoodie offers both a bell style sleeve and embroidery to make a statement using a basic item. The floral detailing gives a feminine feel whilst the oversized design keeps it from becoming to girlie for those who like a bit if edge to their basics.

What do you think of the statement sleeves appearing everywhere at the moment? Have you added any bits to your wardrobe?
