Wolf & Whistle | Swimwear Haul

If you read my previous post 'A Summer Holiday…In October'  you will remember my predicament of trying to buy holiday clothes for a late holiday, especially when you leave everything to the last minute, as I so often do.

Now I normally manage with most of my holiday wardrobe. I buy summer items during the so-called British summer which end up in my suitcase, you can normally get dresses year round and tops are pretty easy to transition from one season to the next. But honestly, most years, ASOS is my savior.

I'm not a massive fan of the shopping center/high street shopping experience. Other people annoy me and it's even worse if you are shopping under pressure, so it's no surprise I especially hate sales in store. I just don't have the patience.

ASOS have one of the widest selections of fashion to be found and a great variety of prices so they are my go to for panic buying at my desk a few weeks before I go away and I realise I have no bikinis that fit!

I have been seeing Wolf & Whistle tagged all over Instagram throughout this summer so was over the moon when I stumbled across them during a near daily browse through the ASOS holiday section and was even happier to see a few items of theirs in the sale and in my sizes, that feels like fate to me!

This is quite possibly one of the most flattering bikinis I have ever worn!

I have never purchased a bikini top sized by cup size before. Sounds odd at 25 I know but up until about 6 months ago I had no real chest anyway so had no need to, god knows what has happened since then but let's just say I am going to appreciate the support this top offers. This is underwired and padded in that way that gives you a little boost. I ordered a 36C which I believe is my bra size (I have not been measured in an unreasonably long time) and it fits perfectly. It does have one of those plastic clasp fastenings found on most bikinis so that back size is not adjustable but the straps are.

Both the top and bottoms have this tied lattice effect on each side. I was a bit weary of this because, well you know, odd tan lines, but it gives such a nice look to the set and is so subtle that I don't think it will make too much difference in the way of tanning.

These bottoms fit perfectly! I ordered a 12 which tends to be my bottom size but I always find bikini bottoms hit and miss. They are either too big in the bum or too tight that they cut in at the sides. The second I put these on I knew they were going to look nice, they are the best fit I have ever found.

I got this is the floral pattern which is beautiful but ASOS also stock it in black, which to be honest, I have also ordered just because I love this that much!

This top was my surprise purchase. I only actually ordered this because it was on sale, reduced to £9 from £18 I thought it was worth a try, and I am not disappointed. Everyone needs a nice, simple, strapless bikini top and this ticks all the boxes. It's fits perfectly and doesn't flatten your chest down like some bandage style tips can. It has removable padding which can be handy for a white swimsuit as we all know how temperamental they can be when wet. I ordered this in a size 12B/C and as I mentioned above  I believe I am a 36C so that will give you a bit of reference for sizing. Again, this top has a plastic clasp fastening in the back so it is not adjustable. This does also come with detachable straps, although I personally prefer it without. Although this is in the sale they do still have a few sizes left in stock so get in there quick!

Unfortunately, it seems ASOS sold out of the matching bottoms, which I suppose is the one downfall of mix and match bikinis.

I ordered these black bottoms to actually go with a different top and it was part of a mix and match set that caused me to place this order in the first place. Much to my disappointment, I have had to send the matching top back but I couldn't not hold onto these bottoms.

Yes, they are just plain black bottoms but they just fit so nicely. All the black bikinis I own have tie-up bottoms, which although they fit more people and are adjustable, are a complete pain! They are awkward to adjust once on and I either end up with them being too tight or different on both sides. These, on the other hand, are just right. They are 'cheeky' bottoms so slightly smaller in cut but they are really flattering.

You can't go wrong with a black and white mix and match right?

I did, unfortunately, have 2 tops to send back, one of which was also sale, but I am so happy with these pieces that I have since placed an additional order!

Have you got any swimwear from Wolf & Whistle? If not, what is your favourite go-to swimwear brand?
