Champagne Pop | Jaclyn Hill & BECCA

Becca, Champagne Pop, Jaclyn Hill, Highlight, Beauty

I don't know why I have waited so long to post about this highlight!

I never used to be a massive fan of highlight. I have really oily skin, so much so that for an awfully long time I just wanted matte, everything on my face matte, no shine that could just add to the oily mess my skin was.

Over time, I have learned to keep my shine at bay. Finding a skincare regime that works for me, a good mattifying base and the perfect setting powders have allowed me to keep it under control so that I only need one or two t-zone touchups during the day.

The best outcome of managing all this oil has been that I am now able to embrace the right kind of shine, using a highlight to finish my face!

I only own 1 other highlight and that's theBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer. This was my first purchase following amazing reviews and an even more amazing price tag. For a long time I was happy with just this as my daily glow, but then Jaclyn Hill and BECCA made a lovechild!

I have watched Jaclyn Hill on YouTube for a long time, her bubbly enthusiasm is infectious and talent is amazing. The collaboration with BECCA was genius. Jaclyn is known for #highlightonfleek and always looks flawless, and BECCA's Shimmering Skin Perfectors are a beauty world favourite so this really was a no-brainer.

Champagne Pop is described as an 'apricot-gold' and it really is beautiful. It has a lovely warmth to it that prevents it from giving that white like sheen to the skin that some highlights can have.

This is packed full of shimmer and can be built to quite a heavy and dramatic finish but if used with a light hand and the right brush it can be subtle enough for everyday wear on the highs of the cheeks. It also makes for a stunning inner corner eye and brow bone highlight.

This sold out online like mad when it first went on sale but the beauty of working in London is that following a lunch time trip to Space NK in Covent Garden I had my mitts on this pretty easily. You can now get it online still at Cult Beauty and Space NK. It isn't as cheap as theBalm's offering at £32 but in my opinion is well worth it. The 8g pan will last you a lifetime!

I am so excited that Jaclyn is currently hinting heavily on Snapchat to further BECCA collaborations and I can't wait to see what is coming next!

What do you think of Champagne Pop? What are your favourite highlights?
