#GIRLBOSS | Monday Motivation | 1

GIRLBOSS Sophia Amoruso Motivation MondayMotivation

I do a near daily 90-minute commute in and out of London of work. That's 3 hours of my day that I get to sit, on my own, with no distractions, on 3 different trains.

This is about as enjoyable as it sounds! Until recently I was using this time to watch T.V on my Kindle Fire but I wasn't really getting anything out of it so I decided to make an effort to use this time more productively. Now I either write or read.

Stimulating my mind during my morning commute has help me be more productive at work and working a little positivity and motivation into that sets me up for the best possible day.

My most recent book of choice has been #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso and I can say that without a doubt this book has changed my mindset and my life!

For those of you that don't know Sophia Amoruso is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Nasty Gal and #GIRLBOSS tells the story of how she built a company from an eBay shop but it is bigger than that, it tells you what you need to do to be a #GIRLBOSS for yourself.

It is written in such a frank and honest way that she really gets you in the heart. I find myself on the train feeling inspired, knowing what I want from my life and gives me the faith in myself to believe that one day, with alot of hard work, I will get there.

The book also contains sections written by other successful, hard working women aptly named 'Portrait of a Girl Boss'. This gives a small insight in the the differences in these women highlights the main thing they all have in common, the ability to kick ass!

There is now a #Girlboss foundation existing to award women in fashion, music, arts and design grants to help them on the way to owning their future.

If you're looking for some motivation this Monday morning, give this book a read or check out the #Girlboss website. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Do you have any motivational book recommendations?
